Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Hotel

You will be picked up from the Airport by our trusted guides, taken to a hotel where you will stay for the night and then briefed about your tour and activities.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Morning-Afternoon

  • Drive north via Luwero, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will witness one of Uganda’s largest Rhino collections. Track rhinos on foot and continue to Murchison Falls to see more animals and the famous falls along the River Nile.

Evening

  • Relax at your lodge on the Nile River

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Morning

  • After the morning breakfast at your lodge, we set off on day 3 of your tour from there. A game drive in the northern delta to see lions, giraffes, elephants and more.

Afternoon

  • A boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls, as you witness the crocodiles and hippos on the Nile as they enjoy the sunshine.

Evening

  • Optional top-of-the-falls hike or sunset views at the lodge as you relax and have dinner to finish off the day.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Morning

  • Morning Breakfast and then a Scenic drive through Hoima and tea plantations.

Afternoon

  • Arrive at Kibale after a long drive and sunny day from the north to the western part of Uganda, check into the forest lodge.

Evening

  • Rest or take a guided nature walk as you wait for your dinner.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetlands.

Morning

  • Morning breakfast as we prepare for a set off for a  Chimpanzee trek in Kibale – also see colobus monkeys. Through their natural habitat, see the majestic primates families and groups and learn about their way of life.

Afternoon

  • In for a flying scene, a visit to Bigodi Wetlands for birding and cultural experiences. More than 100 species of birds fly peacefully in the air, with different colors, sizes, and techniques.

Evening

  • Return to the lodge for a peaceful natural rest with forest sounds for the evening as you await dinner to break off your long day.

Day 6: Crater Lakes & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Morning

  • Visit crater lakes and viewpoints around Fort Portal. In the heart of a tourism-rich city of Uganda, crater lakes, hot springs, and cultural heritage, we enter Fort Portal City.

Afternoon

  • Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s largest savannah national park, to see animals, birds, and experience the savannah wildlife.

Evening

  • A game drive on the Kasenyi plains, an open green savannah, to see animals like Uganda Kobs, antelopes, lions, elephants, and more.

Day 7: Safari & Kazinga Channel Cruise

Morning

  • After an energy-rich breakfast, go for an early game drive for big cats, elephants, and buffalo in Queen Elizabeth National Park as we wrap up the journey in the park.

Afternoon

  • At noon, we visit Uganda’s largest channel. A boat safari on the Kazinga Channel to see the largest groups of hippos, crocodiles, and birds.

Evening

  • Dinner with a last view over the savannah.

Day 8: Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi

Morning

  • Drive through Ishasha – looking for the one-of-a-kind tree-climbing lions and learn about their special skills.

Afternoon

  • After a fairly long drive, enter the mountainous rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the southwestern part of Uganda. A different climate and environment await.

Evening

  • Lodge check-in, dinner, and rest after a long drive.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Morning

  • Gorilla briefing, then hike to locate a gorilla family in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. An experience with the world’s famous silverback gorillas in their natural habitat begins.

Afternoon

  • Spend up to one hour observing, learning about the gorillas with the guidance of our gorilla special guides, telling you all you need to know about these primates.

Evening

  • A community walk through Kisoro, where you will get a chance to buy local fruits, foods, materials, and a community interactions with the locals.

Day 10: Lake Mutanda Retreat

Morning

  • Another special Lake in the heart of Kisoro District. Transfer to Lake Mutanda – canoe ride or island visit, where you will have a chance to visit the traditional caves of Kisoro to see the Mummies.

Afternoon

  • Optional hike or cultural experience with the Echuya Batwa people, also known as Twa or Great Lakes Twa, the indigenous tribe shared by Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Evening and Lodging

  • Lakeside dinner and bonfire for the evening rest.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP – Walking Safari

Morning

  • Take a drive to Lake Mburo, Uganda’s smallest savannah, via Kabale and Mbarara. To see birds, zebras, and more

Afternoon

  • Take a guided walking safari to spot zebras and antelopes. Our last national park trip was through the goat family of the National Park.

Evening

  • Overnight in a safari tent or lodge inside the park.

Day 12: Return to Entebbe – Departure

  • An early breakfast and drive back to Entebbe along the Mbarara-Kampala road, where you will get a chance to see the Equator and a short stop at the Equator center shop to buy some things/souvenirs, and also take some photos. Finally, a drop off at Entebbe International Airport for your flight or at a hotel of your choosing.
