Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Morning

• Depending on where you are, leave Entebbe/Kampala or Kisoro town early.
• A picturesque journey through the highlands of Uganda that offers views of the surrounding communities, woods, and terraced hills
• Stopovers for refreshments and pictures

Afternoon

• Reach the impenetrable national park of Bwindi.
• Check into your camp or lodge (luxury, mid-range, or budget).
• Lunch and leisure

Evening

• Enjoy traditional dance performances at the lodge or take an optional cultural trek to see the Batwa community.
• Supper and the night
• Resting early before the gorilla journey

DAY 2: Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Morning

• Breakfast at the lodge early
• Proceed to the park headquarters so that Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers can brief you.
• Start gorilla trekking by hiking through dense rainforest to find a family of habituated gorillas.
• Once located, spend an hour closely examining these amazing animals.

Afternoon

• Getting back from the woods
• Get your certificate for gorilla trekking.
• Refreshments and lunch at the lodge

Evening

• Start the trip back to Entebbe, Kampala, or wherever you’re going next.
• If necessary, an overnight stay in Kisoro or Entebbe is optional and can be scheduled upon request.
